Our stay at the hotel was an uplifting experience filled with thoughtful gestures and excellent service. The rooms were spacious and, for the most part, comfortable, though I experienced some difficulties with the temperature control. The location was perfect for exploring the charming town, with easy access to local attractions. The dining experience was delightful, with high-quality meals, but the breakfast could use a bit more variety. Overall, this hotel offers fantastic value for money and a relaxing escape with a few minor drawbacks.

7.0/10

We had mixed feelings during our stay. The Italian restaurant was exceptional, and the staff were remarkably friendly, making it a pleasant dining experience. However, the dated rooms and some disturbances during the night made it hard to enjoy our time fully.

Rooms
5.0
Our room was quite outdated, reminiscent of the late 1980s with drab furniture and orange carpet. Despite being clean, the noisy disturbances from what seemed like machinery in the morning spoiled the relaxation we were hoping for.
Service
6.0
The service from the restaurant and housekeeping staff was commendable; they were friendly and attentive. However, witnessing staff complain about each other in front of guests was awkward and unprofessional.
Location
9.0
The location was very convenient, a short stroll away from Salisbury's attractions, making it easy to explore the area.
Dining
8.0
We had an outstanding dinner at the Italian restaurant and were impressed by the high-quality food and service, although the 'cream tea' left much to be desired.
Facilities
5.0
While the spa looked inviting, the construction and the jacuzzi being in an awkward location made it less appealing to utilize during our stay.

6.8/10

The hotel had a decent stay, with a great location just a short walk from the center of Salisbury. The staff were generally friendly, especially in the restaurant, which made for an enjoyable dining experience. However, the initial check-in process was rocky, and the overall feel of the hotel seemed tired and not quite reflective of a spa hotel. While I got a good night's sleep, the room could use some updates and better presentation.

Rooms
6.0
The room was spacious but felt empty and a bit dated. Although I had a comfortable night's sleep, the overall presentation could have been better, especially the bedding. I would rate the cleanliness a bit lower due to some hairs found in the room.
Service
7.0
The service varied; while the reception staff had a rough start and lacked warmth, the restaurant staff were exceptional and very accommodating, making the dining experience pleasurable.
Location
8.0
The hotel is conveniently situated just a short ten-minute walk from the center of Salisbury, which allowed easy access to local attractions without the stress of parking. However, the area felt a bit rundown, especially when returning after dark.
Dining
8.0
The dining experience was quite good. I enjoyed a lovely meal in the restaurant, with delicious hot starters and mains. Breakfast had a great variety and was generally good quality.
Facilities
5.0
Although marketed as a spa hotel, it was disappointing to find no pool available. The communal areas felt a bit neglected, lacking the amenities expected from a spa environment.

The Milford Hotel merges modern comforts with a classic setting. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped, making for a pleasant stay. However, the check-in experience was quite rocky, and the noise from neighboring rooms detracted from a tranquil experience. The breakfast was a highlight, featuring a good buffet selection.

Rooms
7.0
The room I stayed in was spacious, clean, and well-furnished, complete with a coffee machine and ironing board. However, the noise from the utility room next door was quite disruptive in the evenings and mornings.
Service
5.0
While the staff at the restaurant were lovely and accommodating, the front desk experience was disappointing. The receptionist and manager could definitely benefit from communication skills training.
Location
9.0
The hotel is perfectly located, just a short walk from the city center and easy to access for exploring the area.
Dining
8.0
The buffet breakfast was enjoyable with a variety of options, and the dinner was delightful with hot, well-prepared dishes served by courteous staff.
Facilities

The hotel boasts a spa that adds special value to the stay. However, the overall noise from the vicinity could impact the enjoyment of these facilities.
